Editorial standards

How we report, source and correct our work.

Accuracy and sources

We report what the evidence shows and link to original sources wherever possible. We distinguish measurements from estimates, and reporting from interpretation and opinion.

Images

Every photograph carries a credit. Where we use an AI-generated illustration, it is labelled clearly and is never presented as a documentary photograph.

Sensitive information

Where communities and Indigenous peoples share traditional ecological knowledge or culturally sensitive information, we apply consent-based sharing and appropriate attribution. We do not publish sensitive species or community locations.

Opinion

Opinions expressed in articles and interviews are those of the authors or contributors and do not necessarily reflect the views of Earth & Ink.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it and note the change on the story. To report an error, contact us or email admin@earthandink.gy.
